EEAS FoRB Guidelines meeting

In April 2013, members of the EPWG on FoRB had a high level meeting with Maciej Popowski, Deputy Secretary General of the EEAS, Charles-Michel Geurts, Deputy Head of Division Human Rights Policy Instruments and Bilateral Cooperation and Jean-Bernard Bolvin, Desk officer, Human Rights Policy Instruments Unit. They discussed the draft EU Guidelines on Freedom of Religion or Belief and amendments submitted by the Bureau of our Working Group. During the meeting the challenging issues have been raised, including the issue of conversion, registration, the tools the EU can use when the country breaches FoRB, implementation of the EU Guidelines.
