Monitoring FoRB in third countries (non-EU)
The Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance monitors FoRB in third countries, and ensures that necessary actions are taken to address serious FoRB violations. The Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance provides a section on the website for reporting FoRB violations in third countries.

Working with the EU institutions to promote and protect FoRB in third countries
The Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance monitors the work of EU institutions in relation to FoRB whilst also reminding the EU and Member States of their obligations to promote and protect FoRB in their external actions. The Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance together with the EU institutions calls on third countries to uphold their responsibilities under articles 18 of the UDHR and the ICCPR.

International groups and civil society
The activities of the Intergroup evolve in close coordination with civil society, national counterparts in the EU member states, the USA, including the US Commission on International Religious Freedom and Canada’s Office of Religious Freedom.
